Manchester game store FanBoy3 held a prerelease event last weekend for card game Magic: The Gathering‘s new expansion.
The event fee included a box of Dominaria booster packs, which entrants had 45 minutes to make a deck out of, ready for a small tournament.
The tournament was held in the basement, which customers can usually access for a small fee to play with other people.
The store also features a small cafe, and aims to act as a “third space” for its patrons to relax, hosting regular events and drop-in sessions.
Despite their size, the staff pride themselves on providing an inclusive environment for people from all walks of life, as could be seen at the event.
Booster packs for the new Dominaria expansion are available to buy at FanBoy3, as well as other card shops in Manchester city center.
